Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark Launches Call for Geopark Partners

Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark is calling on businesses, community groups, environmental organisations, educators and tourism providers across the region to join its growing network of Geopark Partners.

The Geopark Partner Programme invites local organisations to play a formal role in supporting the Geopark’s work to protect, celebrate and sustainably manage the area’s internationally significant natural, cultural and geological heritage.

Geopark Partners commit to shared values around sustainability, conservation, education and community engagement, and benefit from increased visibility, networking opportunities, training, and joint promotion with the UNESCO Global Geopark brand.

Whether you’re a tourism business passionate about place, a school championing outdoor learning, or a community group protecting local landscapes, there’s a pathway for you to get involved.

“Our Geopark is shaped by people who care deeply about this place: its beauty, its stories, and its future,” said Chairperson Cllr Philip Campbell. “This is a chance to work together and showcase what makes Mourne Gullion Strangford truly special.”

The call for new partners is now open. Interested organisations can find out more and apply online via:
