Official Geopark Partner Programme
Welcome to the Official Geopark Partner Programme
The Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark Partner Programme brings together organisations, businesses, communities, educators, tourism providers, and environmental groups who are helping to protect, celebrate, and promote one of the world’s most distinctive landscapes and heritage regions.
As a Geopark Partner, you become part of a growing network supporting conservation, education, sustainable development, responsible tourism, and community resilience across the region.
Together, we are helping to shape a more sustainable future for our landscapes, heritage, communities, and local economy while contributing to the wider UNESCO Global Geoparks Network.
Why Become an Official Geopark Partner?
Geopark Partners are visible advocates for sustainability, heritage, education, conservation, and responsible place-based development across the region. The programme recognises organisations and groups that actively contribute to protecting, promoting, and celebrating the natural and cultural heritage of Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark.
As an Official Geopark Partner, your organisation will become part of a growing regional and international network connected through the UNESCO Global Geoparks Network. Partners benefit from opportunities for promotion through Geopark platforms and campaigns, access to Geopark branding and promotional materials, and opportunities to collaborate on events, initiatives, projects, and shared learning opportunities.
The programme also supports organisations in strengthening sustainability and responsible tourism practices while contributing to the long-term stewardship, visibility, and resilience of the region.
Whether you are a tourism provider, community organisation, environmental NGO, educational institution, or cultural venue, becoming a Geopark Partner is an opportunity to strengthen your connection to place while contributing to a shared vision for the future of the region.
What We Ask of Our Partners
Partnership is based on a mutual agreement. We ask that partners actively support the Geopark’s goals in conservation, education, sustainable development, and community engagement.
You’ll be encouraged to display Geopark branding, share your partnership on your website and social media, and participate in collaborative activities where possible. Each partner completes a simple annual self-assessment to help us stay aligned and learn from one another.
