Geopark Partnership Pathways
Geopark Partnership Pathways
Discover how you, your business, organisation, or your community can partner with Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark.
Mourne Gullion Strangford UNESCO Global Geopark is shaped by its people, its places, and the deep connections between heritage, nature, and community. We welcome partners from all sectors who share our commitment to conservation, sustainability, education, and the celebration of our unique landscapes.
Whether you’re a local café, a community group, a guiding business, a festival organiser, or a conservation charity, there’s a place for you in the Geopark. Let’s build a more sustainable, celebrated, and connected place together.
There are five key ways to partner with the Geopark; each offering a different route to get involved, collaborate, and benefit from the shared identity and values of the Geopark.
1. Geopark Partners
For businesses, organisations, and groups that align with the Geopark’s values and want to formally support its mission. This includes those working in tourism, culture, education, environment, and community development. Partners commit to sustainable practice and collaboration.
2. GeoFood Partners
A dedicated strand of the Geopark network focused on local food producers, eateries, and suppliers. GeoFood celebrates the strong links between geology, culture, and local produce — highlighting sustainable, place-based food experiences.
3. Sustainable Tourism Cluster
A collaborative space for tourism businesses working towards actively encouraging sustainable tourism to the Geopark, skills exchange, and joint promotion. Members share ideas, build capacity, and co-create a vibrant, responsible visitor economy.
4. Geopark Communities
Geopark Communities are at the heart of the Geopark’s mission, celebrating local pride and connection to place. Through the Community Ambassadors programme, groups receive training, support, and resources to lead activities that share the stories of their landscape and heritage. This pathway empowers communities to champion conservation, sustainability, and education while strengthening local identity and engagement across the Geopark.
